The salted meat was tough around the edges, and the potatoes were lukewarm and soggy. The turnip stew was runny, so none of the food made me want to order it again. We’d come for dinner with someone who uses an electric wheelchair, and getting around was a struggle from the start. The front-door threshold was too steep, so we had to lift the chair inside. The route from the cafe to the toilets was very bumpy. A small table and highchair were blocking the toilet doorway, and two more highchairs farther down the hall stopped the door from opening wide enough for the wheelchair. The toilet itself was cramped, and you really had to get creative. Then one of us went to the bathroom and saw an employee, the same person who’d been at the cash register, in the kitchen, and serving food. After using the toilet, he skipped washing his hands and went straight back into the kitchen. What on earth? We won’t be coming back. That was unhygienic and unprofessional.

I got a kebab plate, and it was really good, with just the right amount of spice for someone who likes a bit of flavor. The place was clean and pleasant, and the service was friendly. Surprising quality for Norwegian inn food at Norwegian inn prices, right in the center of Beiarn :)
