The room was on the small side, and the mattress kept slipping off the bed. Even so, it was a very good guesthouse and I’d recommend it. Service was prompt, the staff were very friendly, and breakfast had a great menu.

We spent New Year’s Eve at Breidablikk Guesthouse, and the reception team were incredibly kind when our train was cancelled on January 1st. They managed to find us a taxi on a holiday, which was no small feat. That helpfulness alone makes it the best place to stay in town. The view over the town from the breakfast room was incredible too. Highly recommended!

My single room had two beds. Breakfast was good and served from 0700 in the fourth-floor dining area, which had a decent view. They also let me use the washing machine for free, which was excellent for my situation.

The single room was a big plus, and check-out at 11 was convenient. Breakfast was included as a buffet, with warm choices such as egg omelette. It’s a very nice guesthouse in a good location, and I couldn’t stop looking at the amazing mountain views from the windows. I highly recommend it if you’re travelling to Narvik.

Guests had no chance to sleep while the hotel hosted a loud private event in the restaurant directly above their rooms, with noise continuing until nearly midnight. We had to confront intoxicated groups ourselves, and after being touched, I felt unsafe as a female guest. The hotel’s management was completely unacceptable.
