Wonderful views, lots of hikes nearby, and a peaceful, very quiet atmosphere. Probably the best campsite in Norway. The manager, Mr Rene, is very friendly and tries his best to make your stay enjoyable. I'd recommend it to everyone.
Skåbu has plenty of cross-country skiing tracks, including one that starts right from Hyttegrend. We spent a winter week in the "Svenskehytte" and found the calm and coziness we were looking for. These huts have plenty of space and real character, unlike other campsites with huts. Thomas and his family were great hosts and made us feel very welcome.
The scenery is unbelievably gorgeous, with endless things to do around Skabu and the nearby national parks. We had a pleasant stay at Skåbu Hyttegrend, where Thomas and Natascha were extremely friendly and caring hosts. The huts are fully equipped, and the camping sanitary facilities have everything you need. Highly recommended!
The toilets and showers are clean, and the prices are fair. It's a quiet, idyllic little campsite by a lake, with very friendly owners.
A lovely lake and a great spot right beside it!
