Trolltunga Aparthotel

The check-in details came by SMS, email, or both, so we could get into the apartment even after reception had closed. Michal at reception was really helpful and let us check in a few minutes early when we arrived just before four. The apartment was good value and had a fully equipped kitchen. We had amazing views from the windows and small balcony. The Trolltunga shuttle stop was just one street below, and the main Tyssedal bus stop was about an eleven-minute walk away.

We were really happy here. The apartment was clean, the bed and shower were good, and the view was perfect. We arrived at the last minute after finding our originally booked accommodation disgusting and unclean. Since this was the last unit available for our two-night stay, the person helping us got us checked in very quickly. Great service.

The room was spacious and clean, with very comfortable beds, and bedding and towels were provided. The kitchen had cookware and dishes. It was pretty bare, though, with blank walls and no decor or cosy feel. The couch was uncomfortable unless you perched on the edge. Check-in was uneventful. The host or employee was polite but neutral, and didn’t offer information unless asked. The price for a room was very high compared with everywhere else I travelled in Norway.

The views were really good, and the location is great for the Trolltunga hike. We stayed two nights in this wonderful, very clean hostel. The pantry kitchenette was well equipped and made it easy to cook meals. The toilet and sheets were very clean too.
