Nesset Fjordcamping

The setting is a real plus, with wonderful views, outdoor seating by the cottages and a BBQ area we enjoyed. We were in an Economy cottage, and although the price first looked reasonable, linen, towels, final cleaning and even the shower all cost extra. It adds up and doesn't feel as budget-friendly as it seemed. Inside, there was an unpleasant smell, and the old fridge smelled bad too. The kitchen was tiny, though the combined oven and electric stove were fine for basic cooking. Pots, plates and cutlery were supplied, but the frying pan was broken and couldn't be used. The linen was poor quality and seemed to have been washed at home rather than professionally. Bring your own if you can. There was just one shower, so we waited a long time, particularly at the women's bathroom. Check-in was self-service, with no directions, and we had to work it all out ourselves. We were in cabin 3, and one morning guests washing their cars in front of the bathrooms splashed water by our hut and onto our car. Signs saying that isn't allowed might help. The garbage bins were directly in front of our cabin, but thankfully they didn't smell. The place feels dated and could use renovation and better organization.

We had a cabin with a garden view, though most cabins sit right by the water. We hadn't realized that when booking, so check if a fjord view matters to you. The campground is right beside the road, looking out over the fjord, and the facilities were warm and well kept 😊 The shower takes a 10 kr coin, which you can get changed at reception. A very nice stay.

There's a lot in one spot: a fridge, washing machine, stove, power sockets, picnic table, and even a waterfall 😁 The quality isn't the best, but it has what you need.

We had a lovely stay in a pretty cabin, with a fjord view from the window. The property is small, so it stays peaceful and doesn't get too crowded, and it's only a short distance from popular tourist destination Flam. The shared showers and washrooms were clean. Our hosts were very accommodating and moved us to a room nearer the washroom when we asked.
