IMI Stølen

Oppdal didn't have much to hold my interest, just a roundabout and a few shopping centers around it. Since it's a ski resort, winter might be more interesting, and I heard the slopes connect so you can ski all day without repeating a run. The campground itself was fine, with tent pitches away from the RVs, helpful people at reception, and roomy common areas where you can wait out a rainy day.

There’s a nice walking path from the campsite into Oppdal, and the wifi is great. Kids also have a very nice playground. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, plus a fridge, freezer, and oven. It's in a loft with lots of seating and power outlets. The showers are great and free, and the toilets are good too. Fantastic campsite and owner. I'd absolutely stay here again!

I arrived by bike on a sleepy night and really liked the campsite, facilities, and staff. They offered me the buffet for 85 NOK and asked for a specific time, which made sense the next morning when there were just two of us. There’s a drying area, a place to cook, and a chill-out space. All in all, very good value.

We booked a double room, but it smelled bad, had two bunk beds, wasn't very clean, and the blanket had a bloodstain. They charged hotel-room prices, though it felt like a cabin room in a building, not a hotel. Check before booking, since linens and towels aren't included and cost an extra 15 euros per person. Disgusting and expensive, not worth the money.
