There’s a big swimming pool, though it costs extra and isn't included with your stay. You can also swim in the ocean. The camping has clean facilities and a little harbour where you can fish or rent a boat and go to Risør. The only downside was the very poor WiFi connection. Most of the time I had no WiFi at all.

A lot of the good spots are occupied by permanent campers, and many of the pitches near the main road are a bit noisy. Part of the playground is across that road, so kids have to cross it. The stay is expensive, over twice the price of other nice camping areas, and plenty of things cost extra, including boat rental, mini golf, the swimming pool, the mini excavator, and showers. There’s one slow car charger too, and it’s expensive: 7.3kw/h and 180kr for four hours, which works out to 6.2kr per kw, more than most high speed chargers at the time of writing.

If you're lucky enough to find a pitch overlooking the fjord, it's a nice place. Most are taken by season campers, though. This was the most expensive camping spot on our Norway trip. A four minute shower costs NOK20, compared with NOK 3-10 elsewhere, and the pool costs another NOK 70 per person. That's quite ridiculous with such a high nightly price.

It's a very nice place with a great fishing spot, but the WiFi is terrible. With four kids and a few days of bad weather, we needed it. It's 2020, this shouldn't be an issue. Having to pay extra for the swimming pool is a shame.
