The sauna was really good, and the owners’ enthusiasm made the visit special. They’re super friendly and helpful. We spent a night or two in the authentic buildings, with a tour around and inside them. Breakfast also comes with a storytelling session about the site’s history, going back to 1632. The family has owned it since the 1830s. A really great place to stay.

With two small children, we had a wonderful few days at this special place. Gro, Margun and Bastian made us feel so welcome. Our rooms were comfortable, and we had everything important we needed. The property is full of history, and you can get a feel for Norway in the 1800s, and in some cases the medieval period, without even leaving. Such a lovely combination of charm, culture, and storytelling. Thank you for the stay.

The hosts were so welcoming, and the setting is idyllic. We had a wonderful evening and breakfast during our trip between Oslo and Bergen. It was lovely to hear about the farm’s history and local legends. Thank you so much!
