Røst Bryggehotell

It felt like a comforting home away from home. The rooms are clean and cozy, the food is excellent and fairly priced, and above all, the staff are exceptionally friendly.

Røst Bryggehotell was a wonderfully quiet place to unwind. From my room, I could see the Northern Lights peeking through the clouds at night. The hotel has great amenities and provides bicycles, which made getting around the island easy. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food was superb. Such a delightful hotel, with sensational views over the water and those rustic red sheds.

There’s no luxury here, but the hotel has everything you need, and it feels like it has a soul. The locally themed decorations in the rooms and corridors are nice. Rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is excellent, with delicious, generous portions. Try the fish soup! You can rent bikes at the hotel too. Prices are reasonable, especially for Norway.

I can only say it again 😀🤘 It’s amazing what these people have built in such a remote place, sorry, Röstvaeringer. They have cod and saithe, and have built a business around them since Querini came to Röst in the 16th century. The cod is hung to dry, and today I was lucky enough to buy their cod roe. I’m just a simple man, as Lynnyrd Skynyrd sings, and I’m from Sweden 🤘 Lars-Erik
