Klaras hotel felt like a home away from home. Mr Dolby met me at the airport at the agreed time with a warm smile, and we had a lovely drive to the apartment, getting to know each other. I was impressed that he knew about my home country, including its population and other things. My room had complimentary sweets, chocolates, and pastries. I was famished after travelling, and he offered me a tasty plate of curry stew and rice. There was fruit on the dining table too, and he told me to feel at home. Each morning there were pastries and tea, coffee, or a chocolate drink to help yourself to. Whenever I ran into Mr Dolby, he was pleasant, kind, and intelligent in both conversation and actions. At the end of my stay he dropped me at the train station for free, as I was heading to Oslo Airport for a flight to Stockholm. On departure day he also packed enough snacks and fruit to feed me for two days, so I didn’t need to buy food at the airport. It’s a quiet, beautiful place with lots of plants, a giant map in the living room that shows the host’s interest in you and where you’re from, and soft music that helps you relax. I also enjoyed the warmth from a real fire in the living room. The WiFi was very good. If I return to Norway, I’ll choose Klaras hotel again, and I encourage others to visit. It was good value for money and a wonderful experience in Sandefjord.

The Nordic-style interior feels warm and peaceful, almost like home, and the host is especially kind and welcoming. We’d definitely like to come back in summer!

We had a great stay in this cosy place. The bed in our room was really comfortable, and the owner was so kind and friendly. Very, very nice!
