Reisafjord Hotel

The people at Reisafjord were so friendly and helpful, and the hospitality was among the best I've experienced. I loved the location, the lake view near the hotel and our spacious room. Mrs. Turid, the owner's wife, deserves a special mention. She took my Dad and me for a walk near the snowy hotel late at night, and even offered to drive us to the foot of the mountain around midnight so I could try to see the aurora. Being welcomed so warmly so far from home made for an unforgettable memory. Thank you for your prayers, Mrs. Turid. I finally saw a huge aurora during my stay in your country! This is definitely a lovely place to stay, and I hope to come back.

It was okay, but the room layout was odd. The sink was outside the toilet, and if you're tall, there's barely room to sit in the bathroom with the door shut. We could also hear muffled noise from other rooms.

This historic hotel sits right by the sea and marina. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.

The room and furniture are showing their age, which was the main downside. Otherwise, the hotel covers the basics at a reasonable price: a private bedroom, bathroom with shower and hot water, and WiFi that actually worked well throughout. Breakfast was included, with bacon, scrambled eggs, several types of bread and spreads, plus tea and coffee.
