Henriksen Gjestestue

A small, nice hotel with friendly, good service and a good breakfast. We were probably the only guests, so there wasn't any extra noise. It's in a great spot by the road. A good experience.

The owners, Johnny and Anne, made me feel right at home, and their sweet Gordon Setter, Zorro, is like the canine mayor of hospitality. He only appears if you ask, though. I came to Sørkjosen expecting a basic stopover and ended up staying a few days, feeling like I'd been adopted into a Norwegian family. The rooms have their own personalities, with that snug Scandinavian feel, plus a bathroom, TV, kettle, and Wi-Fi that actually works. Breakfast was a lovely spread of fruit, juice, cheese, and plenty of other choices. Anne even offered to take me to their cabin by the river one day. The view was so stunning I nearly forgot to blink. There's free parking, and the cosy TV lounge has a bar, a nice touch for football fans. It's also just a hop from Sørkjosen Airport. Great for hikers, skiers, or anyone passing through. My only complaint is that I didn't stay longer. Five stars, I'd hug this guesthouse again.

A road closure meant I needed somewhere to stay, so I searched for nearby hotels and found this one. It turned out to be a lovely surprise, with nice decor and a very welcoming owner, Ms Anna. I'll come back for a vacation next summer.

I arrived on my bike in the rain at 10pm and got such a warm welcome. They let me bring the bike inside, and I had a clean, warm room with a great hot shower. Breakfast the next morning was perfect, with good jam, orange juice, salmon, bread, and pancakes. Thanks so much. I recommend it.
