Clean rooms, a very comfortable bed, and a handy location: the airport bus stops outside, there’s surface parking nearby if you rent a car, and the city centre is about a 15-minute walk. It works as a base, but check-in can be a real problem if you arrive late. Reception is open 9am to 9pm, and although you can check in through the Vander app, getting a working key is hit or miss. Our friends and we couldn’t generate one, and even when a key was generated the door might not open because of an app error. The key machine downstairs didn’t work either. Security staff were kind and helpful and could get us into the room, but we still had to go to reception for the key itself. For fjord trips, plan to leave after 9 or be back before 9pm. We also had no hot water, and the app didn’t work as expected.

The view was beautiful, and the location makes it easy to walk or take a bus into the city centre. It’s a nice little apartment with a big bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. There’s also an amazing bakery in the hall, definitely stop in and buy at least one thing, you won’t regret it. ☺️

The room was quite nice and close to downtown, but I was on the street side of the 6th floor and could still hear traffic with the window closed. I didn’t get much sleep.

The room had a lovely, uplifting view, and we even got to see fireworks. The internet was fast, the kitchen was cozy and fully equipped, and fresh towels and bed linen were provided. Opening the doors with a phone app was convenient and felt modern. The reception area was striking too, with a restaurant and bakery that made it feel welcoming. For the price, I still recommend the place. Sleep was the main downside. The bed shook easily and disturbed my rest. The beds faced each other, and one night I was startled awake at 5 AM by an alarm going off on the metal table in the room next door. The door lock also didn’t close properly, so the door could be left open by accident. In the bathroom, the style felt dated, and the drain under the toilet smelled moldy after a shower. On one of our five nights there was no hot water by evening. The temperature control was awkwardly placed above the fridge. The router was a Huawei model from China.
