The room was simple but clean and had what I needed. I also liked the cultural pieces and decor in the lobby. Breakfast had a good range of food and drinks, and they were flexible about preparing it and turning on the sauna at a time that suited us. The family who own the hotel were friendly and suggested places to see the lights and things to do. It’s well placed for Lapland activities like snowmobiling and aurora chasing, with water views too. Thanks for a great stay!

We were happy with our stay, and the price felt worthwhile. The outside view gave a slightly misleading first impression, but the rooms were clean and fine, and breakfast was good. Better than we expected.

The owners are lovely, and there’s a small, cozy restaurant and bar, plus a jacuzzi. Rooms are basic, but they have what you need. The hotel is quite far up in the Norwegian Alps, making it a prime spot for the Northern Lights.

We had a great two-night stay. The owners were especially hospitable, and the surrounding area is beautiful. We even saw the aurora nearby. I’d love to recommend this place :)

The rooms are simple, clean, practical, and quiet, and the hotel has a homely feel. It’s run by a Sami family whose care and effort really come through. The owner was friendly and helpful. Skibotn is tucked among majestic mountains, away from urban bustle, and is talked about as one of the best aurora-hunting spots. One activity we’d booked with them was cancelled because of unforeseen circumstances. The owner was very kind and apologetic, and let us visit their on-site reindeer for free to make up for it 🦌
