Koie Stranda’s Deluxe 1 cabin was modern, stylish, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The private jacuzzi and outdoor fireplace made the evenings especially cozy and memorable. It’s a peaceful, high-quality getaway in the Norwegian countryside, and a handy base for seeing the fjords. Geiranger is about 1 hour and 15 minutes away, while Hellesylt is only 25 minutes away. Highly recommended.

For the price, the cabin didn’t offer much. It was small, cold and damp, with a strange smell when we arrived, as if it had been empty and unattended for a while. The weather sealing wasn’t good, nights were quite cold, and the sofa bed was too soft. There weren’t enough power points or ways to keep warm. No kettle, hair dryer, shampoo or soap either. I wouldn’t recommend staying here when visiting Stranda. Check-in was at 4 p.m., later than at other hotels. The host didn’t send a PIN or any check-in details beforehand, unlike other booking.com operators, and the reception was locked with nobody there when we reached the site.

We took a small but functional cabin in a modern mobile home in Strada, right across from the fjord.

The owner was lovely and gave us a really good price for one night. Out of all 12 places we stayed while travelling in June, this was the best overnight stop. The nights were clear, and sitting in the jacuzzi with wine and a view of the mountains was wonderful.
