Nordis Apartments

The room was huge, with a balcony you could walk straight out onto and enjoy the harbor view from inside. It was the best view we’d had during our stay in Lofoten so far.

The apartments were in a great spot, with views of both the ocean and city. I bet you could see the northern lights from here, though the sky was cloudy during my visit. The rooms were great, each with a private bathroom, and the living room had an ocean view. There’s no reception. To get access to the parking underneath, I had to speak with the servant at the restaurant downstairs. The parking uses the local telephone, which was really hard for us with an international phone and SIM. I had to walk back to the restaurant and have someone call for us. That was very uncomfortable.

Breakfast was delicious each morning, and we enjoyed a nice stay in our suite. We visited in the down season and had a suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, just for my husband and me. There was some leftover food in the fridge from the previous guests, which was unfortunate. I took off a star because when we checked out at 6am, nobody was at the front desk. The instructions said to call a certain number to get someone, so we left our keycards with a note.

For the amount we paid, thon hotel offers a better view, breakfast, and service. I wouldn’t bother staying at Nordis apartment. There wasn’t any staff, just a message explaining the check-in steps. I asked several questions about parking and got no reply. Breakfast was said to be included, but no location was given. After I repeatedly asked staff to get someone to answer, I finally received a very rude message saying it was in our fridge. When I opened it, there was nothing there. I sent this feedback to the staff and was ghosted.
