We weren't sure whether the pub was open, but the reception guys said it runs on weekends until 01.00. It has a nice range of local beers, drinking games, a pretty view and a good vibe. The service was nice too. Some would call it a "hidden gem".

The cabin is right by the fjord, with a parking spot next to it and a quick, smooth check-in. It was spacious and very warm and comfortable through winter thanks to the good insulation. The bedrooms are big, and the kitchen is fully equipped.

Torsken Brygge made the long drive along the narrow roads well worth it. We spent three nights and loved the clean rooms, comfortable common area and fantastic food at the restaurant. Torsken is quite remote, but it made a convenient base for our hikes around Andervatnet and Skaland, both less than an hour's drive away.

The camping site is also a lovely place to stay, with wonderful views and new facilities. At the restaurant, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent. The tenderloin they had as steak of the day was excellent, and this is one of the only places in Norway where we've found a great vegan option.
