A lovely, scenic spot where you can stay, have a hot drink, and cool off with a swim at the place the locals call the spa 😀

Keep this place quiet, it's a peaceful spot with a wonderful view and lovely people. We stayed just one night and were completely won over by its charm. We spent a lovely afternoon having carrot cake and coffee, watching the sea birds and looking out at the Lofoten. Dinner was great, and the night was calm, with sun. Breakfast was good too, though we had to leave far too early. Thanks to all the friendly ladies at Tranøy Fyr. Don't tell anyone, so it can keep its quiet charm.

The rooms are quaint and fit the lighthouse history. From here, the whole Lofoten mountain range fills the horizon, and if you’re lucky, the midnight sun lights it up. The setting feels scenic, thoughtful and dramatic. The food is marvelous, though a bit expensive.

We didn’t have a dinner reservation, but the staff went out of their way to find us a table and make the meal enjoyable. They even arranged a ride back to the marina afterward. We loved how welcoming and friendly everyone was. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

I’d recommend a visit to Tranøy Fyr whether you’re local or a tourist. You can rent a room and get the full experience. It’s probably more fun in stormy weather, though it’s beautiful either way. Enjoy!
