Nordic Rest House NO PARKING CarFreeArea

UPDATE: I’ve just read the owner’s reply, and I’m shocked by the claim that I didn’t follow the agreed check-in time or house rules. That isn’t true. I’ve attached screenshots of my messages to the host, which were cautious and polite. The check-in time was clearly communicated, and I didn’t break any house rules. I don’t understand why this was said. The messages and the reply here speak for themselves about the host. I’ve only described my own experience honestly. I arrived late in heavy snow, and even reaching the hostel was difficult. There’s a steep hill and no clear path to the entrance, so getting there with a suitcase is a real struggle. At check-in, another guest said my assigned bed had already been used. I couldn’t tell whether the bedding had been changed or reused, which worried me. The bathroom is large, but the shower didn’t look properly cleaned. You get one towel for the whole stay, and the sheets aren’t changed routinely. Other guests put dirty things on my duvet. When I asked for clean bedding, I was told it wasn’t included in the rate, and the host refused to help or even offer fresh sheets for a fee. For the price, that’s absurd. Shower gel and a hairdryer aren’t provided either, so bring your own. The location description is misleading. It takes a difficult 26-30 minutes to walk to the city center, mostly downhill, and bad weather makes it worse. Luggage is left in shared areas where other guests can reach it, and there’s no CCTV. The entrance also feels insecure. There’s no guarantee of clean bedding, and cleanliness overall is seriously lacking. For what they charge each night, being told towels and sheets aren’t covered is unacceptable. I’d only stay here if I were truly desperate for one night. Paying a little more for basic cleanliness and care would be far better.
