The apartment view really took us by surprise when we first walked in. It was amazing. Tromsø itself has such high prices and tiny hotel rooms, so staying a little outside the city worked out well for us. The apartments were spacious and had great views. It took us exactly an hour to drive there from Tromsø, though you do need a car to get back and forth. There’s also one bus running from Tromsø to buvikvoll that you can catch.

The view is the one nice thing here. We stayed two years ago and had a very good experience, but now the place is run down and doesn’t match what it used to be. Things were broken and poorly cared for, and the manager didn’t seem to care about guests. They didn’t tell us the tap water wasn’t drinkable, and although I’d booked the sauna and they confirmed it, they hadn’t prepared it. They also didn’t reply to WhatsApp messages. There were stains that looked like footprints on the kitchen floor, half the bathroom lights didn’t work, and there was no shower gel. Some areas were dusty and dirty. The sauna window was broken, and water was dripping in the changing area. The price made no sense for the state of the place. Stay away.

The staff were especially friendly and ready to help. We also got to go fishing with Espen, which was a great time. The weather was incredible, and two dolphins swam around the boat. My girlfriend and I only stayed one night, but it was an amazing experience. The place is right beside the water, the sauna has a stunning view, and the apartments are nicely decorated. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the Tromsø area. Worth every penny!

The hot tub and sauna cost extra, but they were absolutely worth it. The sauna in particular is something special. We had three excellent days for our honeymoon, surrounded by wildlife and beautiful scenery. Our host made us a delicious lunch, and you should ask about the local guided tours.

Such a beautiful place, with stunning views both in daylight and at night. Thank you, Soufiane, for being so kind and supportive. We were lucky to have it all during our week there: sunshine, snow, northern lights, reindeer, dog sledding, and lovely service. We’ll come back once the hotel project is realized. 🙏☀️⭐️👍🏽🗻❄️
