We really appreciated the help with the sauna, which isn’t part of the hotel. Since it was our first time, he went ahead to switch it on so it would be ready and working when we arrived, even though he didn’t have to. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooms and bathrooms were cozy, comfortable, beautiful, and spotless. We felt very well looked after from the start at this rural hotel. We’d definitely recommend it and would love to return.

Our room was on the third floor, with a shared bathroom on the second, and there’s no elevator. That wasn’t mentioned in the Expedia listing, whatever the hosts may say. Breakfast was good, and we appreciated the locally sourced ingredients, but both the room and the stairway were small.

Kristina, the front desk mgr, was delightful. She sat down with us to arrange a musk ox safari and suggest other fun local adventures. The location is superb, and both the room and restaurant were excellent. Only downside was the coffee and tea selection, which wasn’t great. Still, 10/10 overall.

A lovely place to stop for a night while passing through the mountains, or to stay longer. Book ahead! And check out Andre Etasje for a delicious dinner.
