The chalet was wonderfully quiet, and the beds were comfortable. We had plenty of towels for showers and for the hot tub and sauna. We visited in the shoulder season, so there wasn’t much to see or do unless you’re keen on hiking, and some famous sights are three to four hours away. Winter skiing would probably make this a great base. Joker has the basics, though it’s sensible to shop at Spar or Kiwi before arriving. We booked for two people for six days, and the house was very well equipped. The kitchen had a Nespresso machine that wasn’t shown in the photos, plus tea towels and a small welcome kit with Wetex cloths, dishwasher tablets, and a brush. The washer and dryer worked perfectly, and there was firewood for the fireplace. You do need to fill the hot tub yourself, but it didn’t take long.
