Bandipur Milan Guest House

The place had amazing decorations and atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and spoke good English. I had hot lemon and ginger, coffee, and fried rice. The food and drinks were good, and the seats were so comfy I actually fell asleep 🤣🤣

Worst guest house ever. The room seemed fine at first for a backpacker, but there were cigarettes in the bathroom, the sheets were dirty, and there was no running water. After I complained, the owner tried to kick me out at 22:00.

A great guesthouse with a chess board, good value for money, and a lot of atmosphere. It’s a little off the beaten track.

The worker approached us as we got off the bus and offered us somewhere to sleep. We wanted to keep costs down, so he said he had good options and showed us the cheapest room for 1000 NPR. It was a bit smelly and didn’t look great, but we thought Bandipur prices were much higher, so we agreed. He made us pay as soon as we said we’d stay that night. Later we understood why. After going for a walk, we found plenty of guest houses charging 1000 NPR for much better rooms and locations, since it was off season. Back at the hotel, we discovered several things weren’t working. The bathroom light was out, so we asked him to change it. Once it was on, we could see how disgusting the bathroom was. The aluminium door only opened halfway, and there was no water. He fixed the water when we complained, but only a tiny amount came through, nowhere near enough for a shower. The next morning he offered another bathroom, but it was too disgusting to use. Before leaving, we told him the conditions were unacceptable and asked for half our money back. He refused and laughed. When we said we’d leave a bad Google review, he said he didn’t care because he was going to pass the hotel on to someone else. Worst conditions and worst service so far. Don’t go there.
