Mr. Bhim at Siddhartha Bandipur Village helped us when we arrived around 8:30 PM on Saturday and the hotel we’d booked refused check-in because it was full. He found us a family room, and after checkout they let us leave our car at the hotel while we explored the main market without our luggage. Having its own parking is a big convenience in Bandipur, where paid parking is often the only option and is a bit far from hotels. The food was good, and the staff and service were good, too. The location is right where the Main Street Market begins and is the closest hotel to the route to Thani Mai Mandir, a sunrise and sunset viewpoint. There’s also a beautiful garden. The main downside is that the rooms could be better. Mr. Bhim said renovations were underway and there were plans to upgrade the hotel significantly. Overall, it’s a good place to stay, with very polite and helpful staff.

The manager’s response at checkout was especially upsetting. They insisted we pay the full amount, said all four rooms were occupied, and called the power failure a “technical and unpredictable issue.” The manager also said plainly that they didn’t care what review we left. It felt as if money mattered more than guests’ comfort or safety. I wouldn’t recommend this place to families or anyone expecting basic service and responsibility. We had booked three rooms. Around midnight, the electricity went out. Staff tried to fix it but never got it working, and there was no backup power. We were with a 2-year-old child and a 65-year-old grandmother, both asleep, so moving them in the middle of the night was extremely difficult. The rooms got very cold. Both occupied rooms had lost power. The hotel offered two vacant rooms, each with single beds, so we pushed beds together. The gap between them made it very uncomfortable, and we barely slept, despite being given rooms. Because of the disruption, only a few of us managed to go for the planned sunrise, one of the main reasons we’d come to Bandipur. Overall, it was a stressful and disappointing stay.

The toilet flush in one of our two rooms wasn’t working when we checked in. There was no phone in the room to call room service, so it was difficult to report. A staff member eventually came to look. We asked to change rooms, but that request was ignored, and they told us the problem had been fixed when it hadn’t. We were traveling with a small child, and the way this was handled showed little empathy or professionalism. It felt as if the hotel cared more about money than guest comfort, safety, and basic hospitality. A very disappointing and stressful experience. I wouldn’t recommend it to families or anyone expecting a minimum standard of care and responsibility.

The manager insisted we pay the full amount and said he didn't care about reviews, which really showed how little concern there was for guests. We had booked three rooms, but the power failed around midnight and was never restored. With a 2-year-old and a 65-year-old grandmother traveling with us, changing rooms in the middle of the night was very difficult. The rooms were cold, and the replacements had only single beds that we had to push together. They were uncomfortable, and we barely slept. Our sunrise plan was ruined too. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially to families.

The stay was a very bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend visiting. The room looked different from the online photos, the air conditioner didn't work properly, and power kept cutting out at night. Service and hospitality were unsatisfactory, and the staff's behavior needs improvement.
