We still bring up this hotel and the town all the time. The service was outstanding, and we absolutely loved being there. I’m writing this years after our stay, while sorting through old travel things. We visited the year before the big earthquake, and I’m glad the place made it through. If you’re in Nepal for New Year, it’s amazing!

My clients and I were all very happy with the rooms and service. It’s a lovely place to stay in Baktapur, with a beautiful view of the Himalayas. A real hidden beauty.

Staying here was one of the highlights of our Nepal trip. My husband and I had a budget room that was clean and cozy, and the hotel is centrally located, just a short walk from Bhaktapur’s sights. The staff were so kind and always ready to help beyond what we expected. We’d absolutely stay here again if we visit.

It’s a charming, unusual place to stay, with a historic feel. Manju Baha used to be a monastery, so the rooms are small, and the doorways and ceilings are low. I’m physically short, about Nepali size, so it suited me. The hotel is simple and rustic, a few blocks from the busy, noisy tourist areas, and the rooms have what you need.

The food was high quality, and the kitchen was modern and hygienic. I had a look myself, and the chef welcomed me in. I also want to thank Nikita at reception for her excellent service, and Dipak, who served my dinner and breakfast. You’re talented hosts, and Nepal can be proud of you. I really enjoyed my last days in Nepal at this hotel. The idea behind the initiative is great: giving young Nepali hospitality students a good start in their studies and careers. If you’re choosing where to stay in town, come here and support the next generation of tourism talent.
