Charikot Panorama Resort

The location is naturally beautiful, but the place felt neglected, from the partly cleaned grounds to things needing repair in both the room and bathroom. My stay felt empty and isolating, and there was no room service or proper restaurant. These days it seems to offer little beyond a basic air-conditioned room. For the hefty price, other resorts provide much better facilities and service. It may have been good in the past, but it no longer meets those standards, and I felt the money was wasted. I strongly advise checking the dates on positive reviews before booking.

I had a great stay at this lodge with friends a few years ago, so I recommended it to my family early last year. They came away feeling completely ripped off. They paid over Rs. 41,500 for two rooms for three adults and three children, yet dinner came with only three pieces of meat, and breakfast was one egg per person with some toast. I can't recommend this lodge to anyone.

The outdoor and indoor spots were both lovely for relaxing, and the sauna was a nice extra. We also enjoyed a great breakfast and kind staff. Having tea while watching the incredible sunrise views was a real treat.

I spent more than two weeks here and enjoyed all of it. There are beautiful hiking routes nearby, and the staff are very friendly and great cooks. My studio had a fully equipped kitchen, which was super convenient, plus plenty of space and breathtaking views just outside the window. Absolutely amazing, highly recommended.
