Hotel Kailash

My office had called on Friday to book a king-size bed for my Monday stay at Kailash Hotel. I requested that specifically because on my previous visit I struggled to sleep in a tiny bed. But when I arrived, they denied any booking under my name or my office’s, even though I had the call history. They said they were full and put me in a small, creepy room barely big enough for a single bed. I was told to wait 20 minutes to freshen up while another guest checked out, and that they’d move me afterward. I waited longer, then went to reception, where they kept saying “10 more minutes.” I told them to be honest if there was no room so I could leave. They wasted 1.5 hours, then put me in exactly the small-bed room I’d tried to avoid. When I complained, reception blamed me, said I hadn’t booked, and claimed they were doing me a favor by accommodating me. It was incredibly disrespectful. They clearly cater to large groups and neglect solo travelers. I won’t return and highly recommend avoiding this place.
