Chill garden guest house and Hostel

The owner is wise, friendly, and welcoming, and even helped me book a bus and a taxi. The lake view is perfect, and it’s only three minutes from the lake. Rooms are clean, with hot water, a fan, and a fair price. It’s calm, with a beautiful garden full of flowers and butterflies. I met good travelers here, and there were beautiful animals everywhere. I hope the place stays the same for my next visit, unless it’s just to add even more flowers. I’m grateful for everything. So beautiful!

I stayed about a month and really enjoyed spending afternoons in the hammock, reading and looking out over Phewa lake. It’s a very good choice for a longer stay if you don’t want a dorm. The rooftop terrace has amazing views, and owner Sushil and his family were wonderfully hospitable. It’s affordable, the fan rooms are clean, and the setting is quiet and peaceful. Walk two minutes down the hill and you’re on the busy Lakeside main street. The facilities are simple, with the shower and washroom outside the room, but I liked it a lot. Great for a budget-conscious backpacker.

The room was fine for the price, and the views and outdoor seating are great. The top level is a lovely place to hang out, though it got a bit annoying if you wanted quiet. People often talked outside our room late and loudly because it’s such a nice gathering spot. In the mornings people walked past to smoke, and the smell would drift inside. There was a noisy lizard in the roof at night, and the fan rattled. The bed was just okay. The owners are super lovely, and it’s great value for the vista.

We came here twice during our time in Nepal and loved both stays. The location is great, close to everything, and the owner is super friendly and helpful. The roof terrace has incredible views, and access to the full kitchen was really useful. Great place and people if you want to relax in Pokhara. Thanks again, Sushil. Take care.
