Grand Norling Hotel's Resort

The billing at the end was the worst part. Management said our shoot lasted 5.5 hours, which was simply wrong. We had finished much earlier and spent the extra time sitting at their outdoor restaurant, eating food we'd paid for and chatting with our photography team. Being charged just for sitting and talking after ordering a meal felt unheard of. The total came to more than the room would have cost, in fact more than twice as much, and the food was grossly overpriced for what is essentially a 3-star hotel. We'd planned a pre-wedding shoot at this resort with high hopes, but on arrival they immediately gave us a form to record the start time. Only later did we learn most gardens were closed for maintenance, something they hadn't told us beforehand. A few areas could still be used, but the restriction seriously limited the shoot. We used the restaurant for several breaks during the day, then had dinner there after wrapping and sat talking with the photography team, as guests normally might after a long day. Staff had been available to mark our start time, but nobody was around to record when we finished the shoot. Somehow, staff repeatedly came over to our restaurant table. The whole thing felt more like monitoring us for billing than hospitality. I regret choosing this place. If you're planning a pre-wedding or post-wedding shoot, I wouldn't come here. There are better, more professional and cheaper locations with clear policies and more respectful treatment. Worst experience ever, it completely spoiled what should have been a special day.
