The rooms were clean and comfortable enough, though the bedsheets felt quite worn, and the hotel itself is simple and basic. It's about five minutes from the main gate. A little removed from the main Lumbini market street, it was quiet, while restaurants and the local atmosphere were still an eight-minute walk away. The younger staff were very helpful. They arranged my bus ticket and took me to the bus stop in the morning. Breakfast was simple. It worked for a short stay, but I later realized I'd paid about twice the usual Lumbini price for similar quality, so I'd pick somewhere else next time.

The price was too high for what felt like an ordinary, rather boring hotel. I booked through Booking.com and expected much more, so it was disappointing. We left after just one night because of the cost. The location was good, the room clean, and it had air conditioning, a heater, and a nice view. The staff were very friendly.

We spent a week at Hotel Kanthak and had a great stay. Our laptop and cameras felt completely safe there, and the hosts were polite and accommodating. We wanted a quieter area while staying within walking distance of Maya Devi temple, so the location suited us perfectly. The rooms were super clean.

The rooms were clean and well equipped, and breakfast was great. You can also reserve fresh, delicious dinners from the kitchen, which I'd recommend over the nearby restaurants. Gate 5 is a short walk away, so getting to Maya Devi Temple, Buddha's birthplace, took only a few minutes. I stayed two nights and found the owner incredibly kind and the staff very friendly. They spoke excellent English and were happy to help with anything. I'd recommend this place.
