Neydo Hotel Buddhist Monastery

The monks who run the hotel are so friendly and do their best to help. The vegetarian food was good, with plenty of gluten free options if you ask ahead. In Pharping, this is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with heat and A/C. One drawback is the solar hot water, which may be very limited on cloudy days.

The best part is that the monastery is right beside the hotel, so you can visit the ceremonies. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. Food is vegetarian and very good, though a little spicy. Fantastic stay!

I liked being able to walk to the Asura Caves from here, definitely recommended. It’s also special to stay right beside the monastery and watch its ceremonies. A monk even went over and explained things when I asked. My room was spacious and clean, with a good bed, shower, bath, and toilet. The food was good, though there’s no menu to choose from. Room rates are high by Nepali standards.

We’ve stayed here before and came back because we liked it so much. It’s clean, well located, and the staff are wonderful. We’ll stay again on our next trip. The location is close to shops and a good halal Indian restaurant, and the staff, especially Manager Mr Badri, were knowledgeable and very helpful. They arranged special tours for me, and the value for money was amazing. The staff were friendly, the interior was nice, and the room service was good, though a few requests like water or room service were forgotten once in a while. On arrival, the security guard helped us when a rickshaw driver seemed to be trying to trick us. The road is now closed to traffic, so taxis can’t drop you right outside. It’s a minor inconvenience, nothing major. The hotel has a sun terrace with garden views, an on-site restaurant, free WiFi throughout, and free private parking. Some rooms have a sitting area, and there’s a kettle in the room. Tribhuvan Airport is 11.3 km away.
