Good food and drinks, and an ideal location near the airport. It's especially handy when you're waiting for a plane after a delay. The owner Nima can help arrange a porter and lodges along the route. You can also leave him your return ticket, and he can change it to another date if needed. A definite recommendation for a stay in Lukla, whether you're heading up or coming back.

I've stayed here in May or June for the past three years, and I love the place. My room had running water, a hot shower, and an electric blanket. From the view you can see the airport with mountains behind it. The food is great, with several vegetarian options, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There's also a big lawn out front where you can relax, watch planes come and go, and play with the local dogs. Highly recommended!

The location is good, just across from the airport. The blankets are basic, though it's good they have a heating pad, even if it takes a while to warm up. To avoid booking headaches, don't reserve through third-party travel agencies such as Expedia or Booking, as they may deny the room. Walk-ins seem to be the preferred way to offer their services in this area.

The setting among the Himalayan landscape gave us stunning views of the surrounding peaks and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff also knew the local area well and offered useful tips and help planning treks and exploring nearby attractions. I stayed at Himalayan Lodge several times in spring 2023 with all my clients, and it worked out exceptionally well for us. When we arrived with my clients at Lukla Airport, Nima and the friendly, attentive staff made check-in easy and welcomed us right away. The comfortable, well-kept rooms were a welcome rest after a long journey, with everything we needed. Warm blankets and hot showers were especially comforting in the chilly mountain climate. We also enjoyed the restaurant's delicious meals, which catered to different dietary preferences, and the hearty breakfasts gave us energy for the day. Himalayan Lodge exceeded my expectations for service, comfort, and location, and was a great choice for our Everest region adventure.
