The food was delicious, and the Tharu dance was a lot of fun. There were around 13-14 dances, and we joined them for a short one ourselves. I stayed two nights on a package. The rooms had a hut-like feel with all the amenities, and there's a pool too. Our safari guide really knew his job and explained the forest and animals well. A huge bull rhino came right up to our jeep, and we watched him for about 30 minutes. The boat ride was good as well, though the gloomy weather meant we saw only about two gharials, with no sun for them to bask in. The elephant guide took his time explaining things, and we had a great time feeding the elephants. I'd very likely visit again and would definitely recommend it to friends coming to Nepal.

What keeps bringing me back to Temple Tiger Resort is how quiet it feels. This was my third visit, and the peaceful setting in Amaltari, Kawasoti (West Chitwan) is a welcome break from the crowds and bustle of Sauraha. The jungle trips feel unhurried and personal, with beautiful scenery and a genuine connection to nature. The resort focuses on jungle activities instead of mass tourism. Add the thoughtful, warm service and calm atmosphere, and it's a lovely choice for a quiet, meaningful Chitwan stay. Highly recommended.

Jungle weather can swing from very cold to very hot in one day, so pack a warm jacket along with a hat, sunglasses, and bug repellent. I was on a Gate1travel tour in Nepal, and we spent two days on safari. Avash guided us, with Kamal, one of the national park's best naturalists. We were lucky to see so many animals as we drove along those bumpy roads.

The rooms were comfortable and really nice, and the food was delicious. The resort garden is beautiful too. The people here are lovely and make the stay feel like a special adventure, with great experiences such as a jungle safari.
