The location is really convenient, and BG and his family made the guesthouse feel like home. He and his wife treated me like their own sister and invited me to breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day, at least once and sometimes more. BG has years of experience as a travel guide, and arranged my transportation at local prices, saving me from tourist markups and hours of Googling. For the more-than-10-hour trip to Lumbini, flights cost 11,000 NPR, but BG got me a bus ticket for 1,200 NPR. The ride had stunning views of Nepal’s valleys and rivers, an experience I would have missed by flying. BG even got up at 6 AM to make sure I reached the bus stop, just a 2-3 minute walk from the guesthouse. He’s very thoughtful, and doesn’t charge extra to arrange transport. He does it out of kindness and service. BG and his family made my stay in Kathmandu warm, easy, and memorable. Thank you all for making my time here unforgettable! 🌟

The whole family is amazing, and the place is calm and close to lots of temples. Bijaya, the owner, is the person to turn to if you need anything in Nepal. With his help I visited temples around Kathmandu, did a great buddhist retreat, and arranged a meeting with Monks for my research paper on Happiness. He also organized an amazing trek to Everest base camp. He’s always there to help. I couldn’t be happier with my stay with him.

The owners can connect you with people offering services from Kathmandu to Pokhara and farther afield, and they’re happy to help with plans or advice for activities. The guesthouse also draws a fascinating mix of people from around the world, including volunteers and trekkers. It’s newly built, clean, and has a lovely rooftop deck with a great view. The area feels quieter than Thamel, and the monkey sanctuary is a short walk away. Thamel takes about 20 minutes on foot, or just a quick cab ride.

The staff were warm and helpful, and the family made the place feel like a little paradise. My room was comfortable, and the view of Shyambhunath ( monkey template) was amazing.
