Hotel Marigold

The location was good, with a nice view, a decent sized room, and a satisfactory bathroom. The problem was dinner. The curry smelled bad and tasted sour, so we complained. Staff insisted it had only just been made and tried to heat it more. After I argued and asked them to taste it, they finally agreed it smelled off, though they had kept saying it was made an hour earlier. I returned the whole meal and had to find food elsewhere. It was already 8 pm and I had small children with me, so it was a panic. When we came back, someone apologized and offered to prepare a fresh meal. Another staff member apologized the next morning and asked if we wanted breakfast, but we ate nothing else there. We paid for the room, afternoon tea, and pizza. Dinner appeared on the bill even though we hadn’t paid for it, and one of the staff came running to ask for the deducted amount. It’s a nice hotel, and this may have been a bad day for them and bad luck for me. I still recommend it, even though I gave one star. I wouldn’t have rated it so low if they hadn’t lied about the food quality.
