We stayed just one night, and the hosts made it a lovely stop. The family was genuinely welcoming and helpful, the room was clean, and the view was beautiful. The sunset and sunrise viewpoint is only about 5-10 minutes away. The food was great too, especially the dhal bhat, which was among the best we had in Nepal.

The daughter of the lovely family welcomed us and cooked dinner, which was delicious. Everyone was so friendly. Mountain View lodge is perfectly placed for catching the sunrise at sarangkot. We had an amazing night and hope to come back someday. Don’t hesitate! (The two French girls)

The food here is really excellent, and the guest house is only down the stairs from the viewpoint. There’s a rooftop with mountain views too. It’s run by a wonderful family and the rooms are fairly cheap. You get a hot shower and wifi, though the shared bathrooms are squat toilets.

The rooms are decent for the price, but dinner is the highlight. They bring the daal bhaat curry to your room or balcony, where you can enjoy the amazing view while smoking a joint and eating. Yes, I said joint. It’s said to be illegal in Nepal, though you can still find some of the best in the world.

The views are great, but the room was very bad. It was really cold, the blankets were thin, and the washroom was in terrible shape.
