Oyo 462 The Culture Resort

A great spot, with good food and service.

The early lake view from our room was incredible, and we even found a great place to do yoga beside the pool in the rising sun. The rooms were all clean and neat, and every staff member was sweet, attentive, and very nice. We really enjoyed our stay at culture resorts. It's a relaxing place to chill, unwind, and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

The pool was the best part, and the resort has fantastic views. The rooms were fine, but what stood out was how sweet and welcoming the staff were. The pool cleaner, receptionist, and person handling breakfast were especially nice. They treated guests fabulously, and I enjoyed it.

Please don't stay here. I've been to this resort several times, mainly because parking is convenient compared with the other nearby options. Before this last three-night visit, I had been satisfied, even though the service, amenities, and food weren't very impressive, since the price seemed to make up for that. We originally booked without breakfast, then asked staff if we could switch to a rate that included it. They made it sound possible, so we went ahead. At checkout we found the room rate hadn't changed, and we had been charged for breakfast from the more expensive standard à la carte menu. If staff hadn't misinformed us, we wouldn't have chosen that. We also wanted to leave at 6 a.m., but the front desk was empty. We waited another 30 minutes for someone to arrive. A boy named Sujit chettri, around 14 or 15, came to help. He seemed very unprofessional and unprepared for the role. He didn't understand our questions or know how to answer them. I'm not sure why the hotel had him at the desk. After we explained our side, he kept using the system without giving us information and insisted the bill couldn't be changed and we had to pay it. It wasn't a large amount, so we paid what they demanded and left, already upset by the wait. After leaving, I realized I'd forgotten a brand new hair dryer and hair straightner in the cupboard. I called right away and described both the items and where I'd left them. The person on the phone kept saying nothing like that had been recovered from the room. Housekeeping had often come in to clean while we were out, so I asked them to check whether the items might have been misplaced. I was told the housekeeping staff had left and they'd have an answer the next day. I waited until morning and called again, but the answer was still no, nothing had been found or handed to reception. I could hear a lot of background noise, with people aggressively telling the staff to say the same thing. I'm 100% sure I left the items there. That's where I last saw them. I've never been suspicious about leaving belongings in a hotel or resort before, but this place taught me a lesson the hard way. They stole my items, charged me wrongly, and were dishonest. I'm never going back.
