The Lake House

The scenery is lovely and the ambience is beautiful, and the service was good. But the food is way too expensive, a lot of menu items weren’t available, and there weren’t many choices for food or drinks. We ordered watermelon juice and waited longer than we should have.

For a peaceful break, this place is lovely. The staff were warm and accommodating, and the lake views are stunning. Every room has a balcony facing the lake. We enjoyed the delicious food, though it was a bit pricey compared with other options. The barbecue and campfire were fantastic and made our two-day stay memorable. Since the hotel is on the other side of the lake, you need to be back by 7 PM, so going out to pubs or restaurants at night isn’t an option. The walls and furniture weren’t in good shape, and I’d suggest keeping the rooms better maintained.

The peaceful lake and mountain scenery is mesmerizing, and it’s one of the few places in Lakeside Pokhara where you can enjoy the quiet. But my friends and I weren’t happy with the service. It was my first visit, and my friends said service had got worse since their previous one. Food service was slow, maybe a 6/10, and the bathrooms weren’t clean. Even us guys had to use the women’s bathroom.

At Lake House, you can relax with a breathtaking view of the lake and distant mountains. It’s a peaceful place to enjoy nature, and the great customer service gives it a welcoming feel for hanging out with friends. Highly recommended for a calm, enjoyable day out.
