Tranquil Water Guest House Pokhara

We’re happy to come back soon! Tranquil Water Guesthouse is outside the super touristic area, just around the corner from the busy side of Pokhara, and staying there was absolutely the right decision. There’s lots of space, including an area on top for yoga, and the rooms are big and nice. The lake and surrounding views are amazing. While we hiked the Annapurna Circuit, we could leave our bicycles and bags there. The food they serve is very tasty and cheaper than eating outside. They let us try some special Nepali food and advised us about permits, which they can arrange if needed. They also checked bus tickets to Besisahar for us at the last minute and got us a taxi early in the morning. Kibi, the owner, also works in a tourist agency and spent most of his life as a guide and porter. They really try to give travellers the best service, and everyone is very nice and friendly.

The lake view is beautiful, and the rooms are big and comfortable. It’s a very good place to stay in Pokhara. It is a bit far from the central lakeside area, though, so it’s best if you’re looking for somewhere calm.

The view is stunning, and the bus stop is very close. Everything you need is within walking distance, yet the place is quiet, clean and cozy. I spent about two months in pokhara and stayed many nights at the tranquile water guest house, which I enjoyed a lot. KB and his wife Sunita are excellent hosts. They’re both great cooks and always welcome you to join them for lunch or dinner. 😊 The family also has a beautiful little guesthouse about an hour north of pokhara in Nuwagau, Dhital, called KB's Eco Mountain Village home. It has great accommodation, the best village food, and an incredible view of the annapurna mountain range. I highly recommmend both places! Namaste 🙏

The owners cook wonderfully, too, and can prepare healthy, tasty food at reasonable prices. We meant to stay for a few days but ended up here for more than two weeks. The owners respect your privacy, while the family goes out of its way to make you comfortable. The lake view is amazing, and the area feels very peaceful and safe. The property is in Sedi, about a 10-minute walk from the more crowded, busy lakeside area. Sedi busstop is roughly two minutes away on foot, and the cable car station is about five minutes away. The rooms are very, very clean and well maintained, with everything working: a kettle, solarpowered warm water, cozy lights, clean blankets, wifi and confy beds. If you’re after lovely hosts, a peaceful atmosphere, all the ameneties and stunning views, this is a perfect place. Highly recommended!
