Tushita Nepal Yoga Retreat Center

Every meal was a treat, lovingly made with organic produce from the retreat’s own garden. Thank you Rajesh and Guyana for the warm hospitality! True to its name, “Tushita” means heaven in ancient Nepali, and this retreat feels like a sanctuary. It’s perched on a hill, with breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the mighty Annapurna range and sacred Mount Fishtail. Waking to a sunrise above the clouds, with the World Peace Stupa peacefully in the foreground, feels like a meditation in itself. There’s a tangible sense of peace in the air, far from the crowds, making it a wonderful place for people seeking happiness.

I stopped by hoping this place might be like the Tushita meditation center in Dharamshala, India, and to ask about the meditation retreats. My conversation with Mr. Rajesh left me disappointed by what I found to be irrational, scientifically ungrounded talk. For example, Mr. Rajesh said Jesus Christ reached enlightenment in Rishikesh after meditating there for 18 years. When I asked how Jesus got there 2,000 years ago, he answered, “by helicopter.” :-D :-D :-D I wouldn’t recommend the retreat here, especially at the expensive price of 333 Euro for 3 days.

People appreciate the delicious food cooked with love and the outstanding life coaching classes. From the gate, you can feel the spiritual vibration. It’s neat, clean and quiet, with a mesmerising mountain view. Eventually, I found my spiritual home. This place is for people who feel an inner calling. I do wonder how anyone can write bad reviews about such a private paradise. I think backpackers must be blackmailing for a discount 🤔

I spent 5 nights at Tushita retreat in January, and it was a truly life changing experience. The place feels powerful but also relaxed and home like. The owners give you such a warm, friendly welcome. Go with an open heart and you’ll get more than you expect.
