I enjoyed the pool, casino, and bar at Nirvana Hotel. The stay was okay, but the room quality didn't match what I thought was an overpriced cost. The front office staff also lacked warmth and efficiency. I'd expect more for the price, especially better rooms and front desk service.

The server was polite and professional, but the kitchen experience was a mess. On my first visit, the Nepali green salad arrived without tomato even though the menu listed it; the Malai chicken was good. I came back and ordered Russian salad because it was described as potato, carrot, and peas in mayo dressing, and I dislike the fruit versions. What arrived was diced apples with no potato, so I sent it back. Then my chicken garlic stir fry turned out to be red chili chicken instead. The kitchen seemed clueless and unprofessional, and I could hear screaming from the back. With over 20 years in hotel and restaurant management, here's a tip: clear away the extra plates, glasses, and silverware when people sit down. Food can splash onto unused settings, and leaving that dirty-looking extra dinnerware on the table is gross.
