Rhino Lodge Bardia

The outside views are beautiful, with birdsong and lovely green surroundings that feel like raw nature. Check-in and checkout were easy and professionally handled, and the staff were helpful. The jungle safari in Bardiya national park was awesome. Best stay I've had, and I'd recommend it.

The guides and drivers on the national park tours were very experienced, and their explanations about the animals and the Tharu way of life were excellent. There's a Tharus settlement right beside the hotel. The rooms are clean, air-conditioned, and simply furnished, and the main building serves very good food with plenty of variety.

Rhino Lodge Bardia has air-conditioned chalets in Bardia National Park, Nepal. The dining hall serves Continental, Indian, and Nepali food. You can reach the lodge by air, road, or river, and flights connect Kathmandu with the park daily. Nearby activities include jungle walks, wildlife safaris, and birdwatching.

The greenery around the lodge is thick and lush, with fields all around, and you can barely see from one room to another or across the central seating area. The rooms are basic but clean, with animal names and paintings, and there is wonderful artwork on the walls. Don't miss the restaurant art, it's outstanding. A beautiful German shepherd greets you. The menu is limited. The manager could be more welcoming, while the rest of the staff are super nice. If you're with kids, they won't take you into the part of the safari area where tigers might be spotted, so you'd need a second trip with another adult if you want a chance to see one. They offer two safari times, and the morning one is preferable because it gets extremely dry and hot later in the day.
