Sleeping in a hammock to the sounds of the jungle at night is something we’ll always remember. Our three day jungle trip was an unmissable experience, and we learned so much about this beautiful place and its wildlife. We spent an incredible 10 days here and really didn’t want to leave. The staff knew so much and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was pretty amazing too.

I’m back for my second stay, after first finding this place in 2015, and I’m sure I’ll return again one of these years. Wildtrak Adventure lodge is a little paradise, though it’s hard to get to. If you love nature and seeing wild animals, and want a place with all the necessary amenities, you’ll love it. Bardia NP is probably Asia’s most exciting park for wildlife viewing. I’d say it’s the best place in the world to see a tiger. Johnny from England and his local partner Sitaram are the wildlife guides you’d hope for. Their knowledge complements each other: Sitaram grew up here, has guided for almost two decades, and knows the park like the back of his hand. Johnny has a zoology degree and a naturalist’s sharp eye for anything moving around, from mammals and birds to lizards and insects.

John, the owner, is super friendly and puts together really cool trips in and around Bardia National Park, sometimes to very remote places. It’s a truly magical spot to relax and get immersed in real jungle life. I think it’s the best place to stay in Nepal. If you’re in western Nepal, you really can’t miss it!
