The beach is beautiful, and the main restaurant and bar staff were great. Shout-out to Diyar, Cemre, Alexander, Mert, Berk, and everyone else in the main restaurant. The bar service and drinks were excellent. Food in the main restaurant had an exceptional range and quality at every meal, with options for dietary needs. Nothing was labelled, so you need to ask about allergies, but someone was always ready to help. We were four families who asked for accessible rooms on the same floor. That turned out to be far too much trouble. After a few hours in the lobby, they offered rooms in block 8, one downstairs and three upstairs, with no lift. We had requested three accessible rooms for three disabled people. After more waiting and a long discussion with a rude man, who thought it was unreasonable to put ground-floor rooms close together, I finally got help from a woman who may have been a manager. We then waited another two hours for rooms in Block 4. The man was curt, never smiled, and showed no empathy. The rooms weren’t even two-star quality. Ours was dark and dated, with threadbare carpet, grubby paint, a broken lamp, ants in the bedroom, a faulty safe, low-pressure shower, thin old towels, and woodwork and flooring that looked water damaged. Before and after the stay, the hotel never answered email or WhatsApp messages. They seemed uninterested in questions or feedback. At check-in, reception staff didn’t seem to care and gave us no information about facilities or meals. We also got wrong information about the gym and spa. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

The resort grounds and location are beautiful, as is the main building, but the room we got in block 9 was very outdated and worn. The bathroom had holes in the walls and wasn’t clean. The rug and bedspread were threadbare, a bedside table had broken glass on a corner, the floorboards were worn, and the bath towels were so thin they seemed close to falling apart. The hairdryer didn’t work, though it was eventually replaced, leaving a hole in the wall. The safe came with no instructions, and the staff member sent to explain it couldn’t communicate with us. Our photos are there in case anyone asks. We’d just returned from a family gathering and holiday with over 150 relatives and friends. Staff weren’t friendly or willing to solve the issues we reported. We got no information about the resort or its facilities, but other family members had to send us things like restaurant opening and closing times. Only two issues were dealt with, the hairdryer and the safe. The room wasn’t made up until we reported it, and the sheets weren’t changed. I could go on and on. We all paid the same rate, but the rooms varied, and reception staff weren’t willing to listen. It’s such a shame, but the room certainly wasn’t five-star standard.

We were there for a week, and it was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Staff were unfriendly, nobody seemed to smile, and the rooms were outdated. I also found the place racist. They were happy to take our money, but the service was terrible. After we won money at the casino, it was taken from us, and when we asked several times what the problem was, no one responded or would show us the CCTV. More than 250 of us spent a lot of money there, and the whole stay was awful. I’d never come back or recommend this luxury five-star resort to anyone. I wouldn’t even call it a one-star resort.

The food was always good, but this year it was even better, with plenty of choices for everyone, including my fussy children. The desserts were unbelievable, especially the crispy, nutty baklava. The cocktails were delicious and made with imported alcohol, with Artemis being a particular favorite. Service was fantastic too. The rollerblading lady Aybüke made us a special mango cocktail. We visit every year even though we have a house in Cyprus, and this time Kaya Artemis surpassed our expectations. I booked three rooms for my family, and we were very grateful for an upgrade to superior rooms in the main building. Kaya Artemis will always be special to me because my husband and I got married there in August 2019. For the reasons above, I think it really is the best and most luxurious hotel on the island. We’re looking forward to visiting again next year. I hank you Kaya Artemis!

We spent a week at Kaya, and Diyar and Cemre in the restaurant were tremendous. They served us well above and beyond their duties. Absolutely first-class people. More people like them would make the world a better place. I wish them every success.
