The view over Ahipara Beach was amazing, and the motel was great value. We also really enjoyed the upstairs restaurant, where the chefs and staff did a fantastic job. Neil, the manager, was welcoming and helpful, and the cleaning staff were lovely. Getting fresh towels every day was a nice bonus. We really enjoyed our stay at Ahipara Bay Motel and couldn’t fault it.

The couple who run the motel were lovely and made our late check-in easy. Our room was spotless, spacious, and had everything we needed. It’s very close to the beach, too. Even without a water view, it’s only about a two-minute wander down.

A nice little hotel with an old-school feel and straightforward, good service. One warning: I wouldn’t eat at the restaurant. I ordered green lip mussels, and a few were barely the size of my fingernail.

The view is outstanding, especially at sunset, but the bed was so uncomfortable. My wife and I tossed and turned all night.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and good prices. The views are beautiful, and the beach is very close. The restaurant is well worth recommending.
