The water and mountain views were hard to beat, and the setting made for a quiet escape. We loved warming up in the on-site spa while looking at the stars. The room felt a bit smaller than we expected, and the shower pressure could be better, but we had a very good stay.

John and Jenny have filled the place with thoughtful little touches. We spent two days there while visiting Akaroa, and waking up in such a peaceful, lovely spot felt like a bit of magic.

Rain on the roof at night was lovely to listen to from our warm, cosy room. It was quiet and peaceful, with fantastic views, and we got such a welcoming greeting when we arrived.

The hosts were so kind and friendly, and the spa pool was wonderful. Add those to the spectacular views and this was the best place to stay in Akaroa!
