We watched the sun go down over the water from our waterfront balcony, glass of wine in hand. It was a peaceful setting in a charming town. The property was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Highly recommended.

You can walk easily to everything in town, and the harbour views from this spot right on the waterfront are beautiful. The rooms look a little dated, but they were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. A great place to stay.

Our waterfront studio at Akaroa Waterfront Motel had beautiful ocean views right outside, and the patio was a great place to sit and relax. Everything is an easy walk away, including the pub, restaurants, activities, and local 4 square supermarket. The room was clean and nicely set up, with the kitchen essentials. Shower pressure was okay, and the bathroom was tidy. There was a crack in the ceiling that could use fixing, but it didn’t affect our stay. Outside, there’s a BBQ, outdoor pool table, giant chess board, and beanbags for lounging in the sun. A lovely, chilled stay in a scenic spot, with options for everyone. Would recommend! 🌞

The motel seemed full from the number of cars, but it was still quiet. We paid a little extra for an upper-level room with a waterfront view and balcony. The view was amazing, and the room had everything we needed for three nights. Birds around the motel were great for photography, and everything in town is within walking distance.

The waterfront views are great, and you can walk to everything in town from here. Staff were friendly, and the kitchen was reasonably stocked. The place is a little run down, sound carries easily through the walls, and the bathrooms felt cramped. The showers lacked pressure, and the hot tub was way over-chlorinated.
