La Voyageur Apartments

The location is excellent and the views are lovely, but Apartment 62 needs a major upgrade. The carpet is threadbare, skirting boards are broken, and the couches are uncomfortable and ripped. The bathroom is very dated, with a window that won't close, and the cooktop and cooking supplies are very old. For a high nightly fee, not even getting fresh towels daily was very disappointing. I spoke with the manager, who took the feedback very well and said they'd pass it on to the owner. Thank you.

We spent three days in a ground-floor apartment with cousins and were very disappointed. It wasn't clean: thick dust everywhere and mouse droppings in the kitchen cupboard under the sink. The wifi was weak and kept cutting out. When we raised it, the office staff just shrugged and weren't helpful. Wouldn't recommend.

The idea is nice, but the rooms are hot, stuffy and noisy. We paid 250$ for one night in room 1-5 and still had to wash our own dishes. The place is above a bar that stays open until 11pm and starts setting up at 8am, so there was little sleep. No air conditioning either, just a big industrial fan that added more noise. Even the mini fridge kept ticking on and off all night. Try the water front motel or village inn.

Wifi was advertised when booking, but it wasn't available in Unit 67. The modem is at one end of the premises and the signal wasn't strong enough. I called reception, and the guy told me to go out to the car park in the cold to use wifi. He thought it might be weak because lots of people were online over the long weekend. I checked again at midnight because I had an important overseas call to make, but there was still no internet. No signal, weak wifi modem.
