With young children, we couldn't relax at all. The three-story accommodation had two sets of stairs and no door or fence to block them off, so we had to keep restraining our toddler to keep him safe. It ruined the stay. Neither of the two smoke alarms had batteries, and when we phoned to ask for some, none arrived. Surely that's illegal in a wooden-framed, three-story building? An absolute nightmare, and not suitable or safe for young children.

There was plenty of space in the unit, with two parking spaces, lots of seating upstairs and a well-equipped kitchen. Each bedroom had a queen bed, and one also had an extra single. The only thing missing was spray cleaner for the bench, so after a spill we could only wipe it with water. The location was fabulous too, just a short walk down the street to the main area with cafes, bars and assorted shops.

Apartment 5 is self-contained, with a fully functional kitchen that had utensils, a microwave, oven, toaster and kettle. The living room was cozy and had Sky TV, and every room had an electric blanket. There were two heaters as well. It's very close to the waterfront, local shops and restaurants.

We spent three fantastic nights at Les Troupes and would happily stay there again. The two-bedroom apartment was lovely, the beds were really comfortable, and management were friendly and helpful. The location was great too.

Really disappointing. The place wasn't as described and was dirty. The lounge was filthy and had holes in it. The bathroom is in the garage, and there was no hot water there. The place is old and smells old. I'd recommend staying somewhere else.
