We arrived at 1.00am after the ferry and only stayed one night, but it made a lovely stopover to break up our journey. Glenda communicated clearly about letting ourselves in, and the lights were on in our room to welcome us. She was lovely and popped her head in the next morning to check we were okay. Our room was clean, tidy and tasteful, with its own bathroom and easy access just off the entrance lounge/dining/kitchen area. That shared space made it feel almost like a whole apartment. The living area also had lots of lovely art. We could help ourselves to the continental breakfast included in the cost. We'd definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

Bob made us feel very welcome. The room was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully appointed, with a sea view, chocolate treats and a comfortable brass four-poster bed. The saltwater pool was a lovely extra in the warm weather. We'll definitely stay again. 🙂

There are only four rooms, so it never feels crowded. The owner was very friendly and made sure we had what we needed. We appreciated having the shared kitchen downstairs, and the beds were super comfortable, with a great hot shower and good free WiFi. There’s also a peekaboo view of a marina. The fridge had plenty of food and beer, but as we were the only guests then, we weren't sure if it was for us and left it alone. The next morning there were lots of fresh croissants for breakfast, which we hadn't expected. I worried other guests might wake us by walking past our room, but we didn't notice anyone arrive. Highly recommend this place in Picton!

A lovely little four-room lodge on the foothills of Picton, close to the marina and town centre. The owners showed us around and provided complimentary breakfast, which was great since we had an early start to catch the ferry to Wellington. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. Definitely recommend.

The staff were friendly, the facilities very clean, and the kitchen had everything needed for cooking. There were several tables outside, and the efficient washing machine and dryer cost $2 each. Our large double room had a comfortable bed. It was very peaceful while we were there, with only a few people around. The one downside was the WiFi. The free vouchers only gave 50 MB, which is really too little for travellers.
